Ruger Warranty Request

Well it finally happened. I got a new one that needs to go back for warranty service. What is the best way to contact Ruger to get a shipping tag issued? I emailed them last week with no reply so I tried again this week with no reply so far. I know the Newport facillity will be closed next week. Are they just his backed up or am I submitting my request incorrectly on their website going in under customer support/service. I did get the auto reply in my inbox they will respond within three days but do not hear from them.

Fox ... Regardless of the manufacturer, in my experience things always work better/faster when you place a polite call

ruger cust. serv.

Go to: ruger.com
Ruger Contact
go to customer service
in the dropdown click on contact customer service.
on the bottom there are two locations listed
each one services different type products.
call the one your type of gun is serviced at.
You can talk to a rep. and they are very helpfull.
Mine took about eight days and I had my LC9 new slide and a prepaid mailer to send the old one back.
hope this helps

Yup, take the time to actually make a phone call and talk to someone rather than waiting for an e-mail.

What exactly is the issue that warrants the return?

Warranty Service?????
Ruger doesnt have a warranty either written or implied. They do have some of the best customer service in the gun industry though.

Thanks guys. I'll give them a couple of days to settle in after returning from their plant shutdown and give them a call.

BlkHawk73- I have failure to feed, tried differnt brands ammo. Started with one per 10rd mag and is now at 2-4 per mag, 100 rounds fired total on the rifle. The mag is very floppy when installed, front to back, side to side, and up and down. The trigger housing is loose in the receiver. And a couple other small things. This is a new one out of the box. I know they will fix it up fine.

Let your gun dealer send it back - Thats what I did when my new Ruger would not work a few years ago.
Ruger never answered me in a timely manner - Everything got fixed and sent back with good turn around time.

FYI

Just to update this post. I gave the folks a few days after returning from the week of shut down to call. Within 30 secomds after dialing their number for the first time I had a very polite service rep on the line. Within 3 minutes I had a prepaid shipping label emailed to me, the rifle is on its way. Thanks for the advice guys.

Be very, very nice and polite....you may not know this but Ruger does NOT offer a warranty on their firearms...they take care of "issues" to keep their customers happy....So if you come off like a cave man...guess what may happen.....?? You may now have a "club" instead of a rifle.......

Ahh, , you didn't read the thread I'm guessing since the last post prior to yours was from back in July mentioning that the OP had contacted them and gotten it in-progress for being taken care of.

Ditto on the phone call. I contacted the Ruger service department on Monday regarding an issue that i was having with a 10/22. They were very helpful! They emailed a prepaid UPS shipping label to me and told me that they would take care of it. The rifle shipped out yesterday afternoon.
