This is good to know. I have been thinking of possibly a vortex viper series but I am concerned whether or not it will fit in the bag.

My Nikon Prostaff Rimfire 3-9x40 will not fit in the bag. I have detachable rings and store it in the third pouch.

I mentioned this in another related thread but I plan on using the other pouch for my SS Sparrow. I really want a precision (as precise as a mini-type scope that is not red dot) scope for this firearm that will fit!

I have the exact same set up. It works pretty well. I also have a Bushnell Trophy MP that mostly lives on the rifle and fits (snugly) in the big pouch.

Just out of curiosity, what kind of detachable rings are you using?

I did the same thing with my Bushnell Rimfire scope. I used Warne rings.

I think they are Millet, I'm not sure what kind they are, I've had them a pretty long time.

Which set of Warnes did you purchase?
Did you use the mount(scope base) that came with the Ruger TD?

When you put the scope back on do you have to adjust it or not?
I'd like to get the Prostaff as well.

I used the medium Warne QD 201LM rings on a see-through Leupold 10/22 Rifleman scope mount (#56506). Whip the QD scope off and you can see through the base to the iron sights. Those are probably the best/lowest-V ones for sights. With the QD rings you can alternate between red dot, scope and iron sights.

With the provided Ruger scope mount/base, you can't see through to the iron sights.

I have a Bushnell Trophy red/green dot, a Bushnell Banner 1.5-4X32 and a Simmons 3-9X32 that I can move between my two Takedowns.
