10-22 bipod

Hey! I'm new here so bare with me. I've got a 10-22 with the black syn. stock. I want to put a bipod on it. What is a good medium priced bipod ($25-$45)? I think I will have to tap the stock for a swivel. Thanks Gunny

Does anyone have a bipod for Sale???

For the bi-pod, try looking for a one that came with a Charger that someone is getting rid of. Decent enough for most and affordable if a GOOD Harris one isn't in the budget.
As for adding the swivel stud... I'd want some sort of GOOD solid hold and synthetic doesn't offer that as well as wood does. Be sure to get it done right the first time so it doesn't make it worse later on.

Welcome to RF from Pa. Here is a Winchester bi-pod from Wally World. I can't remember how much but very affordable.

Concur with ryker411. $24.95. This is half price and a rock solid bipod. Have one mounted on ruger 10/22 and mini-14. I know to little to late.

To everyone and especially Ryker and 9mm: NO you were not to late! I went to walmart this morning because their web site said they had them and when I got there no go. So I went to the site you suggested and ordered it. Thank You and thanks to everyone. Great site here and helpful and friendly. Thanks again. GySgt Winclawski

Sure gunnys68. I saw a similar thread last year and Schwammy posted the same link I did for the bipod on the Ruger website...paying it forward. Cant beat the price. It works great for my 10/22 and I think you will be happy.

Don't forget to epoxy a backing block (wood or metal) for the swivel screw to bed into. You have plenty of room in the synthetic stock, without worrying about touching the barrel. You can also use a metal screw and nut, but the swivel screw for wood into a backing is stronger.

Gunnysgt68, does the Ruger bipod have a picatinny mount? I can't tell from the pictures on the Ruger site.

And how does the bi pod connect to the 10/22?
