BX-25 will not chamber rounds after the 1st round

So I bought a new BX-25 magazine last week and took it out for a spin. The first round chambered just fine but the second round jammed. When I got home I realized that the bottom 'V' shaped portion of the bolt that is ment to push the round out of the magazine and into the barrel is scraping the top of bullet nose that is under the round it is pushing into the chamber. Thus preventing the round it is pushing into the chamber from completely seating the bullet properly. I then used on of the six 10 round mags I have lying around and the bolt did the same thing but not as bad and allowed the all the rounds to chamber.

Has anyone had this problem and does anyone know how to fix this issue.

The bottom of the bolt always drags on the round below the one being fed. If it didn't the bolt would not pick up the next round to be fed after the first round is fired and the bolt recoils.

What does "jammed" mean?

How is it jammed and where?

What ammo are you using?

Rifle clean?

You said all the mags did this. Is this something new?

I sometimes have a similar problem when shooting federal ammo in my Glock. Upon very close inspection I noticed that the casing had very tiny nicks and would not chamber properly.

I had the same problem for the first time today. I've used the magazine before without any issues. This is the 3rd time I've used it, first time I've had this problem (put a VQ trigger kit in). First shot went fine; second shot doesn't completely chamber, I pull the trigger, click, no shot. I checked the primer and it never received a strike. The next round in the mag had a large scrape on it. Used 3 different 10 rounders after that with no issues. None of the rounds in those had the scrape on them, either.

make sure your chamber is throughly cleaned and try it again.

22 rimfire ammo (Most of it anyway) is pretty sticky from the box.

I had a problem similar to that when I bought a butler creek 25 round mag. Except my problem happened the first time I tried to shoot it.

The top of the magazine that fits into the gun was too high and the bolt couldnt shut because of the magazine being "too tall" so to speak, so all I did was take a knife and shave part of the top of the magazine and it feeds fine now.
