For me in my humble opinion, I would first procure some Ruger BX25 Hi cap magazines.. From there add a scope..

If it does not have the easy release magazine drop that would be a first, then a 3x9 variable scope wally world has them for $25 from Tasco, that would be a great start for your set up,Have Fun

I installed a Voquartsen hammer and spring set and it made a world of difference. My trigger pull went from 7lbs to 3lbs.
Easy to install. Best $35.00 I have spent on my 10/22

Would all depend on what your plans were for it. For a general plinker, maybe a simple trigger fix, otherwise nothing major. Any additional plans would easily change the plans. All depends on what the end result was to be.

This is what I would do in the order I would do them.

1. Auto bolt release

2. Hi cap mags

3. Scope or better irons (whichever you prefer)

4. Extended mag release

5. Trigger improvement

Ditto, maybe not the exact setup but definitely something with the trigger assembly.

All of the above and IMHO a good quality "bolt buffer"...A cleaning kit is a must..keeping your rifle as clean as possible is key to keeping it all it can be.

I agree it all depends on what you want to do with the gun. The VQ hammer was one of the best things I did but if you shoot any Matches (Rimfire Challenge Match or etc) you will want to do the auto bolt release mod.

If you do any matches, I'd certainly suggest more than just a VQ hammer and auto bolt release.

Concur with rogerzz. the VQ hammer and spring will make a world of difference for little money. Great upgrade.

Any kind of trigger work will greatly improve the 10/22. All around great gun, but the stock triggers suck.
