Plinking. I just like having a good time shooting steel targets and golf balls.

Just for fun, I never hunt. I couldn't ever shoot Bambi, or even Sammy Squirrel. Unless I was lost and hungry....... |

I use it for target at 25 and 50yards. I really want to try turkey hunting with it. |

Some are for hunting, other for target shooting, others just for casual plinking. Each made with a specific plan in mind. |

I use my 10/22 for plinking, maybe tree rat hunting once on a blue moon. Mostly for fun.

Got a LOT of different uses here I guess. Maybe it depends on the day of the week. AND the purpose. |

used mine just for plinking and having fun. will build up a couple to better shooters for targets, but the bulk of rounds going out of her will be at stuff that breaks, goes ping, or pops. i don't hunt as I have no need to and wasn't introduced to that as a kid.
my boys shot up a couple old toys today and had great fun destroying them. is that plinking?

I don't hunt ...if I'm target shooting I'm using something besides the 10/22. The most fun I have is when I take the 10/22 out plinking. Shooting cans and bottles ...anything else I can find. It is no where near as accurate as my 'target' rifles ....but honestly they get boring shooting 'one hole' in a piece of paper. IMO the 10/22 is the most fun you can have with your pants on. Back in days of glass bottles I knew of a little cut through dirt road that kinda followed a creek through the woods. People used to just dump trash out by the road. I'd sort through and pick out the 20oz. glass bottle with the screw on cap. I'd build up a stash at one point and throw 2-3 bottles in the creek ...it run 50yd through the woods and shoot the bottles as the floated by. At this point in the creek it took a bend and allowed me time to get downstream.
