Note, with a bit of sanding the barrel is free floating with the rail attached at the front and back. (Cut the UTG rail.)

This gets my vote for the best takedown build.

Here is my 10/22TD Take Down.

The Plan was to Make it LIGHT and LEAN, and the most accurate possible with Great Iron receiver mounted Peep Sights, but possible to have optics, if needed.

This is a Bug out gun, so it is setup to be, One tool takedown. I could and do take it down with a Penny or a Dime, or a Flat Bladed Screw Driver

My Red Dot has a Thumb screw, take down so does my scope, for quick & easy strip off.

My 10/22TD Stock has a Fully Floated Barrel.

I have a fore end lower p-rail & can go between vert. Grip or Bi-pod, or P-rail cover

I have Full Length Sight radius, Iron sights and a weaver receiver top rail for a red dot, w/ top mounted a P-rail for a scope

Glad to see more TD's being Modified.

My 10/22 internals have all Kidd parts

It looks Very short in the picture with the stock completely collapsed and it is.

Having my stock barrel cut & threaded to a length of 16.5" is next on the list. For a few more ounces off, and a shorter over all length.

This is so my wife/daughter can shoot it, in a bug out situation she may need to use it or provide cover.

I would Like to see what your 10/22 Weighs in at.

Here is mine

Excellent!

What do you measure from the trigger to the back of the stock, including the rubber? I've been looking at that stock for my TD for awhile, but I don't want it to be too short.

Here's my lightly customized 10/22:

Started life as a Deluxe Sporter distributer exclusive. The following has changed:

Kidd bolt assembly, recoil buffer, guide rod, recoil spring, and charging handle.
Kidd drop-in trigger kit w/ 1.75 lb trigger return spring.
Volquartsen polished trigger return spring plunger.
Kidd auto bolt release and 3 piece magazine release.
Tech Sights TSR100 ghost ring / post iron sights.
Hogue over mold stock
Super Sling quick adjust 2-point sling

It's essentially a souped up version of a Sporter model, an ideal version of the 10/22 I had growing up. Extremely accurate, great trigger, great sight picture, fast target acquisition, lightweight, and durable. Great carbine for target shooting, plinking, woods gun, etc. It's my type of rifle.

Kidd Bolt and Bolt Buffer
Kidd Single Stage Trigger Frame
Boyd's Evolution Stock in Pepper
