New to the Forum

Hello all, first off I own a good handful of guns that I got from my dad but I just got my first personal gun. I traded one of my good friends a part off my car for his Ruger 10/22 Carbine.

It's going to be my new project for the next month or so. Mod list will be as follows:
Bullpup stock (I know everyone hates them but I like them)
Red Dot sight (already have this on my paintball gun)
dual Butler Creek 25 round mags (put together as one unit)
laser sight, tactical flashlight (both with individual pressure triggers and mounted to the barrel)

Currently the gun is completely factory with only one Butler Creek 25 round mag and factory 10 round mag.

Don't worry about what anyone likes as far as looks go...that's all you...but when it comes to aftermarket parts and functionality, some of the vets know their stuff...have fun and good luck with the new addiction

I don't care what people say about it, it's mine not theirs lol

just shot it today and couldn't be happier. Thinking about getting a Hot Licks mag loader to make things easier.

So, after you get the stock on the gun and have a chance to shoot it, respond to the "I hate bullpups" crowd and let us know what they're like.

Maybe you'll make some converts :-)

Everyone is entitled to their opinion. What is so bad about them anyway?

I like the bullpup stock because it keeps the barrel length while keeping total length minimal, also having the trigger infront of the action is a nice addition. also looking at this stock (to avoid getting it online)
Cabela's: Archangel™ 10/22 Standard Rifle System

anyone have personal experience with this stock? also could a folding stock be put on this one?

1) welcome to the forum!

2) Don't worry what everyone else think, you do a build to be what YOU want. I'm darn sure there plenty that don't care for some of the builds I've done. Matters not to me at all. I do them for ME and my son, nobody else.

3) Don't get too hung on the BC mags. There's times to be thrifty and times to spend a bit more and get a better product. A good functioning mag is one not to cheap out on. Tactical Innovations or perhaps the new Ruger one would very likely be a better route.

4) Re; bullpups...not my thing but again, you build for YOU. Only real issue I'd have would be the trigger. That whole actuation of the trigger with a bullpup changes that whole thing. That linkage system... nah...pass.

being that I come from 5 years on car forums I know to mod for my liking and nobody else's. the gun came with the BC mag and so I would only need to buy one more to satisfy my needs/wants. Shot about 150 rounds today and only issue I encountered was the brass being jammed in the action while ejecting but that only happened twice...a simple pull of the action fixed it by ejecting the spent brass and the current unshot round.

Welcome. I have two stock 10/22s. I am interested in the Red Dot idea, so please share with us when you are done doing it.

Welcome to the forum. This is a particularly good community here.

I have the red dot sight on my paintball gun currently, waiting on either a new stock or a scope mount to put it on the ruger. I loved it on my paintball gun and cant wait to have it on something a little more accurate.

Thanks, do you mod your legacy at all? I used to have a 98 gt sedan but got an RS coupe now.
