100 yards shooting with the 10/22

Do most of you shoot 50 yard targets or do some of you go 100 yards or better? What is the accurate range of the 10/22 anyway lol?
I shot 25 rounds through my Ruger magazine yesterday at a piece of paper at 100 yards(the big hole at the top and bottom is were the nails were that held it to the tree):

I love shooting at 100 yards...but some standard ammo seems to drop substantially from 50 to 100 yards...Velocitors and Stingers keep the drop minimal if any...what ammo are you using?

Box of Federal 550s, I have to readjust the scope a pretty good bit going from 50 to 100.

oh yea...it helps to have turrets and just a finger adjustment when doubling your range like that

Depends on the gun. Some I have for 50 yds, others for use at 100yds. Top one currently for the 100yd range will easily do quarters with Wolf ammo. That was before the bbl was really shot enough for a good break-in. One pending build now should be a nickel/quarter shooter at 100yds easily. The rest... I know a couple I'll never bother with anything past 50yds and others, just fancied up plinkers. While I've yet to shoot it enough to bring it out to 100yds, the .17M2 conversion will do dimes/nickels at 50 without a problem if I do my part.
Finding a preferred load is key and while the hyper-velocity stuff may seem best it's consistency that matters out past 50 & 75 yds. At that point, it's the better match stuff that offers better consistency and performance.

I probebly wont be able to shoot quarters at 100 yards. I shake too much. The older I get the worse it gets lol. Dr said I would grow out of it, it got better in my 20s but in my late 30s its gotten worse.

Not bad at all- good enough to knock over rams most of the time at 100 in NRA silhouette. Try some subsonic loads (all match ammo is subsonic). The problem with .22 ammo is that it goes transonic before 100 yards and can do some funky things at that distance- subsonic ammo will be more consistant.
I love to practice my offhand shooting using various sized plastic bottles at 100 yards. You get instant feedback whenever you get a hit which helps you learn to call your shots. Start with a bleach bottle, and work my way down to a 20 oz soda bottle.

A) Don't have that rifle yet
B) You are, or it appears to be hitting solid groups at 100 yards (piece of paper 11' x 7') this a little bigger than a pineapple
C) Did you have fun
D) I need to get one and stop casting opinions about something I know nothing about.....yet!!!

Here, I can usually get it locally. If not at a smaller shop, Cabela's is only 15 minutes away. last resort, I can order it from a dealer. Not sure about getting it north of the boarder, but Midway sells it.

Hell yeah its fun, 15 bucks for over 500 rounds of ammo is always fun lol. Thanx for the comments. I use a piece of paper at 100 yards for two reasons, highly visible and highly cheap haha.

I've shot 22's including the 10-22 @ 100 many times. I had a bone stock HBAR 10-22 that would shoot with my Anschutz and 40X Remingtons. I let someone else talk me out of it though. Using standard velocity ammo I usually adjust the scope about 7"'s between 50 and 100. With the right ammo quarter size groups are achievable on a good day with a good rest.

you might improve if you had a actual target to aim at instead of a blank piece of notebook paper at least buy some target dots.
