I plan to get a set of tech sights for my 10-22.
Does the TSR200 come with the adjusting tools or do they need to be purchased separately?
Will I really need them?
thanks

kustomizer, I have TSR-200 on my 10/22 and, based on my own experience, think you'll be glad you have the tools when you need to use them. With them, it's a LOT easier to make your adjustments. FWIW, I used the same tool with the TS rear sights on my Mini-14.

I will assume that the tools do not come with the sights and order them also

Bozz48 will become famous soon enough
I installed a TSR-100 on my 10/22 a couple years ago. The difference between the TSR-100 and the OEM sights are night and day. Much more accurate. Has a lot to do with the extra 6 inches of sight radius. You don't even need to remove the rear factory sight, just flip it down.

I thought removing the front factory sight on my 40 year old 10/22 would be an ordeal, but it turned out to be relatively easy

What Bozz48, just stated, I just bought a 10-22 in the International version and installed the same sight. Made a huge difference and looks great to boot.

Check out posts #23 & #26 in this thread... New rifle, lots of FTF - those are mine.

The action in the sporter rifle came with them from the factory, Williams supplies to Ruger. That's the action from a 10/22CRR, compact, model #1268. Only mods are to the trigger group.

Those sights are on eBay for $19.95, I got the set on the folder rifle from these guys... Williams Gun Sights For Ruger 10/22 - Fiber Optic Light Gathering #60213 - Please Note: this sight system does not fit the take down models.

Another option... UTG Sub-compact Rear Sight for Shotguns, .22 Rifles - There all over eBay for $20~$22; although intended for Picatinny rails, I have one mounted on a Warne M918 rear base - see attached.

It does not fit the Ruger factory supplied scope base for 10/22's. Yes, I tried it.

Can use it the Leapers front sight, NoDak Spud or the Tech Sight front's. The last two are adjustable.

Hope that helps...

Got them on and I like them, I needed the height to get my cheek above the folding stock.

Commemorative Sights

New (and first time) owner of a 10/22. Saw the scope rail with the peep hole sight mounted at the back on the commemorative model. Are these rail/sight combos available for purchase?

From Ruger, Brownells, MidWayUSA et al, no.

However, there are people on eBay who sell take off's from new rifles.

Search M1 & Collector Series 10/22's - both used that Picatinny rail with peep sight on back - ramp up front setup.

I followed the link from post #5 in this thread... Ruger's 10/22 M1 Rear Sight - there sold out.

Whether or not you find 'em depends in large part on the search words / terms you use.

Sometimes ya gotta try a bunch of different configurations before you get success... 10/22 sight, Ruger 10/22 sights, peep sights & so on... welcome to FleaBay

With all that said, I was looking into getting a set of those sights for one of my Mannlichers, after I finally got a chance to see them in person I changed my mind.

Now agree with the other posters who have suggested the NoDak Spud & Tech Sights.

Here's another alternative... check my post (#23) in this thread... 10/22 sights

Hope that helps - good luck.
