Question SR22 Barrel

I'm looking into purchasing my first rifle, a SR-22. I was wondering if that rifle has a Heavy Barrel? Sometimes called a "Bull Barrel." The outside diameter would be .920", instead of the sport barrel that is tapered to the end. If someone who owns one could measure it for me, or if someone with knowledge in the matter could reply I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you for your time!

It's between the two profiles.

"Bull barrel" doesn't automatically equate to performance.

The SR 22 does have a bull barrel, the length is 16.12 inch. I got one a little while ago, the greatest little rifle I have owned! The barrel because of the thickness has the ability to cool very quickly. For the money the SR 22 is a great rifle, all the aftermarket internal parts for a 10 22 will drop right in!

It does have a bull barrel, but its not a .920" bull barrel. its .75"

A standard 10/22 bbl starts out at about .75" and tapers to about .5" at the muzzle.
The SR-22 bbl Starts out the same .75", but doesn't taper, so stays right about .75" its whole length. IT tapers a tiny tiny bit, but you cant see it with the handguard on... its at the chamber end... its .75" because thats the thickness of a standard ar-15 bbl...

Hotchkiss is an unknown quantity at this point
I am hoping to buy a SR-22 and I have heard that they do not come with threaded barrels in Canada. I wanted the threaded barrel so I could have a suppressor on the end which makes it look so much better. Now, what is your advice? Are there good suppressors I can mount over the barrel or what are the cons if I'm going that route? Or anyone can suggest a good gunsmith that could thread it for me? Or do I rather buy a replacement barrel? As U can see, I am very new to this.
-Thanks

It is not a bull barrel by strict definition. From my understanding a bull barrel will expand out to the full size of the O.D. of the receiver housing holding it. No biggy though since the term bull barrel has been loosly used for many years to describe a big thick barrel (girth).

Thats because thats the correct definition....

The term bull barrel has nothing do to with the reciver housing the barrel. A bull barrel is simply a barrel that does not taper, typically big, strong and thick. (like a BULL)

I own a SR-22. It has been "Kanadianized". No threaded barrel or muzzle break. Been Looking at the NC Star Ruger 10-22 Muzzle Break. It fits over the 1022 barrel and is slotted where the front sight is. Tried to find the inside diameter of the muzzle break or the outside diameter of the standard 1022 barrel where the muzzle break would fit but no luck so far.

If it fits then it would be just a matter of putting it on the barrel upside down to hide the slot.

The sr-22 bbl is an oddball size as far as 10/22's go.
A "standard" taper bbl 10/22 is about 1/2" at the muzzle. The SR-22 is .75" at the muzzle. (same diameter as a standard ar-15 bbl)
