hammer bushings ?

so i got my volquartsen hammer in yesterday and when installing the pin back though the hammer to hold it in place i noticed the bushings that came with the hammer have an inside diameter that is a hair too small for the pin to pass through. im sure i could get the pin through by really hammering it in but i do not want to do that, could i take a drill bit, like a 5/32" bit, and slightly widen the inside diamater?

Is it possible the new bushings allow the hammer to pivot on the bushing or do the bushings fit tight in the hammer meaning for it to pivot on the pin?

It's a common problem with those bushings, the pin won't go thru them. It's been discussed by several others on RFC. I just had the same issue and solved it by just using a small round file to enlarge them just a hair so the pin could fit.

well i used some WD-40 and a cushion on top of the pin and tapped it in, it was a very tight fit but after a while it went in. i know i do not want to have to take that pin in and out anymore haha
the gun is only 2 weeks old so everything is brand new.
