Swapping barrels

I received my replacement rifle from Ruger and wanted to replace the barrel with the bull barrel I had but the Ruger barrel is on very tight. The other rifle barrel came off pretty easy but this one seems pressed in. Are all the new 10-22's barrel this tight, did Ruger tighten their specs on the fitment on the new rifles?

you may have to

apply a little bit of heat to the receiver.

use a heat gun, NOT a blow torch...
