Bolt Lock Stuck - Bolt Stop Pin Removed

Sorry If this has been asked before; I looked and couldn't find anything.

Recently purchased a new; 10/22 with a tapco stock.

I was attempting to install a BX - Trigger assembly and everything thing was going great until I pulled back on the charging handle after the bolt stop pin slipper out.

Now I can't release the bolt lock; and can't reinstall the bolt stop pin; because bolt is in the holes.

I've read hints and watched l videos and I can't get the bolt to release and I'm not sure if I just can't get it to go or if the bolt stop pin being out is the issue.

Can anyone please advise if there's something special I have to do with the bolt stop pin out; or if I just haven't mastered the bolt lock dance yet.

Thank you

Take a look at this video, it shows the correct placement of all the parts. Pay particular attention to where the ejector is supposed to be. If your ejector has been flipped to the rear it will jam between the hammer and bolt lock or between the hammer and housing and lock everything up.

Try Pushing rearward and upward on the little flat piece of metal that sticks out in front of the trigger guard in the right front of the trigger guard. That is the release for the bolt when it is in the "hold back" mode. I don't have my owners manual for the correct terms but that little flat piece jutting forward out of the trigger guard. You may have to hold rearward on the bolt slightly to take the pressure off of the release. DO NOT lift up the bolt/guide rod or you will never get that whole assembly back into the action assembly without the proper tool.
