Home stock refinish.

Any one use textured out door furniture paint on a gun stock. I used it because I don't do checkering and it came out pretty well. Share some pics. IMG_0098.JPG

Would enjoy seeing some other folks work.

Interesting stuff. I have never used it. Didn't even know it existed! Can I assume Lowes or Home Depot have it?

I like it. It's functional and distinctive.

Yep Lowes has it, and it seems pretty tough. I've been carrying that rifle through the brush and in the Jeep. It hasn't chipped yet.

I am guessing you used this type of paint to get a better grip on the pistol grip and forearm of your Ruger 10/22 stock. Looks like it does the job!!!

I saw a 22 rifle yesterday that someone had spray with truck bed-liner stuff, needless to say, it looked awful. It was scuffed in a couple of places and the wood of the stock showed through. What a shame.

I tried to mask it off and put a cross on the but stock. Now looks terrible. Will have to sand it off and paint over the scars made by my exacto knife.

Got a little excited with the textured out door furniture paint. I was headed toward the southwest look to blend with the sand stone of my area.
