Quick question....

Is the 10/22 suppose to hold the bolt open on the last round fired?? I don't see any kind of mechanical link that would allow this, but asking because I find myself clicking a round that is not there and I bet that's not good for the firing pin.

emay will become famous soon enough
Does not have last round hold open. I wouldn't worry about it to much. Mine has ~10,000 rounds through it and still runs fine. No pin issues.

The manual says it's OK to dry fire the 10/22

The firing pin is retained in the bolt by a roll pin, that pin also limits how far forward the firing pin can travel and stops the forward motion of the firing pin before it makes contact with the barrel. You can dry fire all you want and it won't hurt it a bit.
