does anybody know a decent inexpensive scope for this ? I was thinking to get something silver/stainless to match

I like my Nikons. And they come in silver.

These Simmons are hard to beat, for the price.

For a little more power, you might consider the Mueller APV 8.5-14x 40mm in silver. I just bought one, and it should arrive today. I paired this with Leupold Rifleman rings in silver ($16). I will test these within the next couple of weeks on a new 10/22 sporter build, but the scope reviews favorably.

>> Couldn't post link here, but go to Amazon and search on "Mueller APV 8.5-14x silver".

FYI - As soon as I'd placed my order, the Amazon price went from $112.81 to $134.95 without the sunshade ($139.49 with the 3" sunshade), so it may be available for less than on Amazon.

That's "Mueller APV 4.5-14x 40mm silver", NOT 8.5-14x.

Nikon 4x32. I think only available in black though. Simple and handy.

I went with the Centerpoint 4x16x44 from Wallyworld under $80. It has been a great scope on my 1149 10/22. But seems as if it is unavailable at this time and it is a bit different then the one in the link below.
Pros:
The optics are clear easy see reticle on target.
Reticle lights up reg/green for low light days.
Is AO and has 4 x 16 zoom which makes a great site picture at 100yds.
Holds after siting in and is easy to site.
30 days money back no question guaranteed, from Walmart.

Cons:
Only thing was the included rings set the scope to high on the 1149.
So I set it with Weaver Quad Lock 1" rings.

For the money it is hard to beat.

Blue Force Gear. I like them they adjust for length fast and easy. I adjust mine so the short adjustment is good for shooting, longer for carry.
