I didn't even know there was such a thing as a choked .22 rifle barrel made by anyone, anywhere.

The CZ-452 series appear to have a very slight reduction in bore diameter near the muzzle, a standard .22 cleaning rod is a very tight fit, it's easier to step down to a .20 or .17 diameter cleaning rod on a 452

When I use a bore snake on my Ultra Lux I use a .17 for the initial run, then the .22, oftentimes the powder residue left behind makes it difficult to get a .22 bore snake weight down a dirty bore

Seeing as it's an added step in manufacturing and thus an added expense... Anyways...I have a bbl for my Competitor pistol that's a 22lr/5mm. Chambered to fit the 22lr cartridge yet the bore chokes down to 5mm.

The man behind this one had a LOT of experience in designing both firearms as well as cartridges so who was I to doubt him. It does give outstanding performance so guess I can't doubt it.
