My First

Well, purchased my first 10/22 off GunBroker. I wanted an older one found a 1980, in "good/very good" condition. I hope so. Paid $200. FFL here is $15. I am looking forward to plinking, sitting on the porch with a bucket-o-ammo and just doing nuthin. I'm a little old school, so that's why I got the older model, you know, metal and wood. (Although I do own a polymer Glock.) Anyhow guys and gals, I had to share my excitement, as my wife said, "well, Happy Valentines Day, there's your gift." Sounds good to me, can't wait till my birthday!

Welcome to the forum, and congrats on your new 10/22. My 10/22 is the first rifle I ever owned, and it's still my favorite gun.

Nice. Yea, this will be my first rifle. Sounds crazy. Just didn't grow up with firearms. I'm looking forward to it. Thanks for the greet.

Yea, I've been combing through your (all of you, haha) previous posts, getting all kinds of ideas. I've already been on Midway USA site and started a wish list full of Volquartsen trigger parts.

It is being shipped to my FFL, may be here tomorrow!

Have fun with it. Cost balance is how much you mod to how many rounds you put through it. Both are enjoyable!

Nice rifle! Include the updated mag release with your first order. It's inexpensive and a worthwhile upgrade. Welcome to the 10/22 family.

Now get a polymer trigger housing. It's made more precise, and the trigger guard will flex before it bends or cracks.
