US Rifle Team 10/22 Info

Talo and Davidson and maybe others have marketed some special 10/22 rifles in Red White and Blue for USA Rifle Teams. They say that part of the sale is given to the US Team. Does anyone know about this team? Who sponsors them? The latest rifle available says it is for the LONDON MATCHES. I am trying to buy one but Davidson says all of theirs are ALLOCATED (ORDERED OR SOLD)

Usa shooting team

I guess I found the answer to my own question as far as the TEAM goes. After searching for some of the "TEAM" pistols and rifles I found a link to the following website:

USA Shooting - Index

Now I need to find the Target Rifle I want!

I would suggest you contact Custom Ruger 10/22s. Ask for Vience. He has been in the business for over 40 years and knows his stuff. Very nice guy.

Zanders has them in stock. Zanders Sporting Goods Homepage. You will have to find a FFL deal to get them for you as they are a wholesaler. Great sweet looking rifle.

This is an old post but I wanted to update on the status of my hunt for a USA TEAM 10/22. While visiting my parents down in Florida last April I went to the LGS downtown. I know the owner and he asked, "WHAT DO YOU NEED TODAY?" I said, "I DON'T NEED ANYTHING - - BUT I WOULD LIKE TO FIND A USA TEAM 10/22." He said, "COME SEE ME TOMORROW (Saturday) , I HAVE ONE AT HOME THAT IS BRAND NEW NEVER USED JUST SITTING IN A GUN CASE." I was tied up over the weekend but Monday morning I went into the shop and without a word he walked in the back and came out with a 10/22 gun case. Opened it up and there she was with a not too bad variable high power scope. I asked, "WHAT IS MY SPECIAL DEAL?" He said, "I won't take less than $500 for it as is with 2 clear mags, 6.5-20x44 scope, 10/22 case, and 2 boxes of TARGET MATCH GRADE AMMO." I said, "IT IS MINE!!!" Went to ATM around the corner and 30 minutes later walked out with the whole package.

I got her home and put in a complete Volquartsen TG2000 Trigger Assembly and Volquartsen CNC Machined Match Bolt - same outfits I have in my 10/22 BULL BARREL TARGET rifle. . SAWEEET shooters for sure. I find it hard to choose between my 10/22 TARGET and THE TEAM rifle . . . so I alternate each time I go to the range so they both get fed properly and regularly . . . . .

Congrats on the nice find. Doesn't that stock have a tremendous feel to it? (!)

Here's some more info on your rifle: Usa Shooting Team Broad Stripes 10/22 Stainless ? TALO Distributors Inc

They also did one w/ a blued barrel: Usa Shooting Team-1022 ? TALO Distributors Inc

I've got the prior model. Love it.

And not to send you on another expedition, but TALO also did a Charger in the matching color scheme for both your rifle and mine.

Enjoy it!

Nice catch. $500? Were you wearing a ski mask when you "bought" it from the dealer?

No I was not wearing a ski mask ! So you know why it took me about 1.5 seconds to say "IT'S MINE!" when he told me what he wanted. The owner said he had been thinking about selling the rifle but never bothered to bring it into the shop until I said I was looking for one. You would think he would set a high price for a brand new never shot PLUS the scope and bag but his exact words were this and I have always said the same thing when I sell something - - "I got what I wanted and I am happy with the deal. You are happy because you got what you were looking for at a reasonable price - A GOOD DEAL IS WHEN BOTH SIDES THINK THEY DID GOOD"

As always when I visit my folks down in Florida the first place I stop in after I get settled at their home is the LGS . . . .

I remember you posting the 3 gun set - I saw a Charger like that in a LGS once but did not think to buy it at the time. I also saw the Team Ruger MKII at a local gun show but the guy wanted the cost of a Corvette for the thing at least it seemed like that much . . . .

I know I was lucky on this one - it had been in the GS Owners safe since he bought it new. He said he just had too many other guns to pay it any attention and if I had not told himwhat I was looking for I would not have gotten that one. Timing Timing Timing - that is what it is all about. I am sure many of you out there can say, "Man I just missed out on that one!"
