A Happy Brimstone Customer

I had been waiting until I could shoot my 10/22 before writing about the work I had done at Brimstone Gunsmithing. On the recommendation of a fellow forum member I sent off a stock trigger unit for a Tier 3 upgrade. The trigger came back a week later ( I was amazed, Georgia to Washington and back!) and felt great. Badly needed rain kept me from shooting the rifle until this week. I love the feel of the trigger now and the rifle is easier to shoot well. I made a mag release swap when the trigger group came back and caused an issue with the bolt release engaging. An emailed question to the gunsmith at Brimstone was answered quickly and steered me towards resolving my issue. I am very happy with the service I received. Forum members can use their services with confidence.

Good news. I'm seriously looking into a brimstone trigger job for myself. Thanks for the update.

I am NOT happy about my Brimstone experience. They received my Mini 14 trigger assembly on January 27th. I heard nothing from them until I emailed them on Feb 4th. They sent me a email saying everyone was sick and they could not get employees to come to work because of the weather. I called a week after that asking them to please get my trigger assembly on the bench. They sent me an email with usps tracking # stating they had shipped on February 10th. That was a lie as the tracking info stated that usps had not actually received the package as of February 14th. As of now, February 14th my trigger assembly has not been shipped.

I also had a less than positive experience with Brimstone recently. Mistakes happen, sick happens and weather happens, but I was not pleased with the communications regarding my trigger, which malfunctioned when first shipped to me. I just received my KIDD trigger (on sale), and am delighted.

I sent one off last Friday for the tier 1 job. Even though I am counting the clicks on the clock just like a little kid waiting for Christmas, I can take a long turn around for the quality that they are known for. I really like there videos breaking down the levels of their work. I think if they are having some folks out sick and bad weather I would rather them take their time for quality than rush and miss something.

I already have a tier two job from them, trigger pull is 2-1/4#. Great trigger! I just sent in another for their tier One advanced trigger job. I even ordered it with a custom "Gold" colored trigger. I can't wait for it to get here.

I just had mine done two or three weeks ago. They received mine on a Monday and they had it done and shipped by Friday. I received it that Monday. I had the tier 3 job done and am very pleased with it.

This has me curious. What type of weather in the East Vancouver/Portland area would cause people to stay home from work?

In the Pacific Northwest, we get windstorms, weeks of rain on end, and rivers flooding roadways. We also get mudslides from all the rain. Just saying.

For what it's worth, mine was put in the mail Wednesday, didn't likely get in the Post man's hands until Thursday. Their site states they only process orders on Tues and Friday. I received an email today, Tuesday, just as expected. So far, they are meeting their set expectations. If this holds up? Then the work should be done on or before next Tuesday and then maybe a 2 day trip back to me on or before next Friday.
