Bama's 10/22

Just started a 10/22 build with Hi Viz Sights , BX Trigger , Kidd Charging Handle and Lever . It shoots great but still want to fix it up a little more with parts and accessories I can find on sale . A Kidd Auto Bolt Release , Receiver Pins and Mag release Button should arrive today. Have a Primary Arms Scope and DNZ scope mount on the way , points on my Cabelas Card will help purchase a Magpul Hunter XX Stock. I'm sure I'll talk myself into getting a .920 Barrel, advise and recommendations will be appreciated.

As long as you have gone this far, 2 additional suggestions: A bolt buffer and either a Volquartsen or Kidd extractor. Ultimately you will have to do some cleaning, semi-autos are prone to building up a carbon ring at the front of the chamber, which, depending on how dirty your ammo is, can cause accuracy, reliability and pitting issues. Regardless of what you have heard, 22rf barrels do shoot better when kept clean. When you finally order your bolt installation tool from Gunsmither, also order their chamber cleaning device. Consider drilling or have your receiver drilled to allow cleaning properly from the rear, otherwise, use the Otis cable system to prevent muzzle/crown damage.

Thanks for the advise PhilF , I was rummaging through the Bargain Bin at the LGS and found a Remington pull through cleaning kit. The Bore cleaner had leaked out and made a foul smell but all the accessories were packaged and never used

Well I feel guilty now I'm really in no hurry about switching out the stock and barrel.

I have 2 originals, a 1968 carbine and a 2010 deluxe, both are just as they were when the left the factory.

The .920 barrel would be a great improvement.

I had my 10/22 apart cleaning and installed back in the 1103 stock and tell you the truth like it better . I was planning on a .920 barrel but its not needed, I can see with new scope and is very accurate to 100 yards.
