mattomoto, regarding tour Takedown with the Magpull X-22 stock, how is the barrel fit inside the forestock?
I am aware that the X-22 has a convertible barrel channel but how well does it fityour std barrel?

Does the barrel swing side to side with forestock disconnected from receiver?

Also did you have to 'shim' your action/receiver for a tighter fit into the stock?

I ask because I just installed my standard barrel SS Takedown into a Hogue Thumbhole stock.

The forestock allows this side to side motion. I am not sure if I should shim it. I had to shim the action/receiver to make it more snug so that it did not move up and down at the butt end.

Supposedly the Takedown aftermarket forestock is not a true 'floated' barrel accommodation so I wonder about your experiences.

Later I plan on installing a bipod onto the forestock swivel.

By the way, nice looking stock !

Debating on one of these for my takedown, you make it very tempting!
