Mine really likes the Federal Champion or Lightning stuff. Essentially the same bullet but in a different box depending on where you buy it. Champion stuff you can occasionally find in a bulk pack too which is nice, but I haven't come across any lightnings in bulk packs only the small 50 round bricks. These bullets consistently give me nickel size groups at 50 yards without the match ammo price. ![]() |

CCI -.22 Blazer - Lead CCI - Mini-Mag - Copper Jacket Both are very accurate, the blazer is a bit cheaper. You can get the blazer from midway for sure. |

The best thing for you to do is to pick up a lot of different brands and try them. Your gun will tell you which brand it likes best. Just because mine likes Federal does not mean yours will shoot well with it. But then, that half the fun of owning a 10/22. Shooting and tinkering with it.

CCI Mini Mags is what I usually shot in mine but I have also had very good luck with Aguila High Velocity 40 Grain Plated Lead Round Nose ammo also

Buy one (1) box of several brands and try them all. Keep records and see if your rifle is picky. A few are, many are not. Keeping the records will keep you shooting slowly and deliberately. I have one that hates federals (they group one inch lower than Winchesters at 50yds). Most really don't care unless you are just punching paper as a competitor. |

CCI Stingers for gophers or other small game. They do an excellent job. If it's just for plinking I would try some Remington HP's. They feed well in my dad's Savage semi-auto which is very picky on which shells it will feed and they're also accurate in all of our .22's and we have 3 (hopefully 4 soon). They also shoot very well and they come in a 525 round brick. I just saw them today and they're $20 for the 525 round bricks. Just a couple years ago they were $10 at wal-mart.

Wolf Match Xtra seems to work best in most guns. CCI SV is good, Federal bulk is fun.
