Yeah that's about right. For example my lgs has a Rock River that before the buying frenzy was 1199.00 and now it's 2500.00.

Look on Gunbroker and you'll get an idea. As Brewster stated they are really up. I'm not really believing that the manufacturers are jacking them up yet to the dealers. If my LGS jacks stuff up and I find out they aren't paying more I won't go back to them and I've been going for 25+ years.

I know Rock River is advertising some parts in stock on their website and they state at the same price as before. The upcoming shot show will be a good pulse for what the future is going to look like.

I was at a gun show last weekend. I was looking for the SR-556 specifically. I found two, a C model for $2,400 and an FB model for $3000.

Personally my man I'd chance it and wait. Word on the street says the ban won't pass in the House.

I would hold off, there is no reason to spend that much on a AR15 when the prices are very likely to return to normal very soon. My LGS hasn't raised his prices at all since he want to sell them and not have them sitting around. Needless to say the moment one comes in the door its spoken for. He has about 20 people on a waiting list and they don't even care what it is (any style any length). He is exclusive to Superior Arms since they are right next door and lead times are actually very good compared to others.

He has sold others but the customer service is much better at Superior Arms than the others he has dealt with.

I am just waiting on my upper right now, started to build one right before christmas and have everything but that darn upper. They tell me its a week out now but I bet its going to be longer than that.

I would still go to the gun show and see what the market is like, you never know their maybe an honest gun dealer there that is not out to rip you off.

I put a Bushmaster M4A3 223/5.56 16" on layaway today at my LGS.
I didn't think they had any in stock but they had 2 so I wasn't going to take a chance and I didn't want to part with all the cash right now. I'll probably go in next week and just get it. Layways don't work for me. They told me the prices hadn't went up that much.

Manufacturers are all closed for the Holidays and none of them are sending guns out now. LGS owners in my area all say they (the manufacturers) will be doing nothing regarding new guns until they find out just what is going to happen with the FEDS... Any price jacking going on now is all from the dealers/owners. As one LGS Owner said just the other day - "If you want a Glock or other gun manufactured overseas you better pack your bags and go over there to get one. As for the US manufacturers don't plan on seeing anything shipped till at least the 2nd quarter if at all."

I talked to Windham today they said they were making and shipping guns out everyday, and they did not have any supply issues from there suppliers. They are working hard to fill all the orders.

Last weekend at the Columbus gun show all they had left were base model DPMS and bush master and they were asking and easily getting $1800-$2000. My father in law took $1200 in cash and couldn't find anything close to that price.

I agree with others here--i'd wait and chance it. the pricing is simply unsustainable. WM hasn't jacked their prices--see if you can get on a list there.

A buddy of mine just sold his Ar 15 for $2000.00, he paid $500.00 about a year ago for it. Nice profit.
