Thanks for the replys. Looks like M1 rifles & carbines are most popular. I thought Remington 740/742/7400 or AR would be most popular non Rugers.

We have an old 40s vintage Remington 550-1 that shoots 22 Shorts, Longs or Long Rifles. That old gun still shoots pretty darn good. Have always wanted a Browning SA-22 auto, but never had the money. My friend's Marlin Papoose amazes me at how well it shoots. Personally, though, my favorite has always been the 10/22.
