LOL! Yeah, they're 'substantial,' aren't they? Perhaps that was a design parameter to facilitate more effectively bludgeoning the Huns if a soldier ran out of ammo?

It would definately do good at either job I am sure, it would be faster to use the gun as a defensive tool, than to swap out the drum mags on the semi version. Where is that third hand again?

Well my only non-Ruger semi auto rifle is a S&W M&P 15, so that's my favorite that fits the question, but my Mini 14 is a close second
