| New to the world of guns (JR 9mm Carbine Question)!
Hello everyone!
I am from California, and my friend just got me really into guns. I am not sure if I am writing in the write section, so if not, please let me know where to ask.
I am looking for a 9mm AR style type of rifle. Currently a nice one i read about and just handled in a store is the JR 9mm Carbine.
Although this gun looks and feels great, i read some older reviews saying there has been many issues on it and people were needing to send it back to the manufacture for repairs.
Anyone have any insights on this gun? Or any other gun similar to this under $900
Thanks all!

The issues with the JRC have all been ironed out, especially with the 9mm rifles.

Welcome to the forum!
I have been keeping track of the JR carbine since it was introduced, and therefore aware of its track record, and my overall impression is that is a pretty solid weapon, with a manufacturer that cares about its product and reputation.
That being said however, at a price of $900, you can get a 9mm upper for a AR lower and have a weapon that is quite versatile.
I think there is currently a whopping big hole in the carbine market, and its time Ruger stepped back up to the plate and filled the hole between the Kel Tec type carbines and the upper tier such as the HKmp5.

Welcome to the forum.
Sorry, but I've never heard of this carbine. It could be because I live in a free state.

I love my hipoint 9mm carbine. The only bad thing is limited to 10 round hipoint magazine but having to stop and reload saves me some money at the range.
