I've been good

My lovely Wife surprised me with a winchester 94AE trapper in 357. mag. It must be mid ninetys because it has a tang safety. It is absolutely spotless. I already put a xs sights peep sight on it. And it shoots great.

There must be something in the air here in the Great Lakes States... Recently my wife, who usually pitches a bit of a gripe if I go to a gun auction, decided to attend a large one with me last week. I thought she was going to try to keep my spending down by subtle growls during any bidding. Instead she encouraged me, kept accurate inventory and budget notes as the auction progressed, and even made the "Snack Runs" if an item I had planned to bid-on was coming up shortly.

To sum up the whole experience was enhanced by her joining in the fun, rather than fighting the idea of buying another gun.

After close to twenty years together, she still manages to surprise me now and then.

I have one of the earlier versions of that gun with the cross bolt safety. I've had it at least 15 years now and it was slightly used when I purchased it from a fellow worker. It has given me zero problems and is a fun gun to shoot. I found mine likes 180 grain hard cast bullets so I purchased a SAECO mold and cast my own. Enjoy your gun.
