Mossberg 22 Bolt Action & Stevens 87N .22

I recently acquired an old Mossberg 42M-B.

The rifle is missing the front site assembly and the magazine (clip) is gone.

Numrich Arms has the clip ($45) but they don't carry the complete front site assembly.

Is there another source where I may be able to purchase one?

I also have a Stevens/Savage model 87N auto 22. The magazine tube is gone, but the stock and metal all seem to be in great shape.

Would it be possible (probable) to rework a modern day tube to fit this rifle?

I collect the old Mossburgs and have ordered a lot of stuff for the bolt action trainers from Numrich. Havlin sales folks are famous as collectors, writers and sources for parts.

Here's a link:

Good luck!

Thanks for the link, there's a lot of nostalgia on the Mossburg, so I'll probably restore it to be a shooter and use it as a conversation piece.

Thanks for the link, Flash. The old Mossberg now has a new front site, a new Peep assembly and a couple of clips. I refinished the stock (a quick job), and will take it to the range.
If it groups well, I probably will have the barrel reblued and will art work the stock.
That link was all I needed, the vendor is very knowledgeable.
