Will a AR556 (di) swap parts with a DPMS

My battle buddies all run DPMS and do so for a UMP (uniform maintenance plan) i.e. this part is broken, swap it out from this rifle so on and so forth. I have always been a Ruger fan, virtually all my firearms are Ruger. Part of me wants to keep it that way but i would like to know if for sure if the AR556 can swap parts with a DPMS. Google is not giving me a straight awnser sadly.

Should be fine, the only differences I know of is how the ruger mounted the gas block on the barrel pins on top instead of bottom, the handguard cap is different than normal, and the bcg where the firing pin is a tad different. However all these part are capable of being switched to or are compatible with most ar's on the market built on the 5.56 platform. For the price you can buy a dpms oracle in the same ball park as the ar556.

I would get a dpms to get a 20 inch barrel.

Yes they are compatible, with most ar15's on the market.
