Brownells' Barrels

Thanks to the information from Aqualung, I finally got my 300BLK finished. I bought a complete upper from Brownells which arrived today. When looking at it, the Upper itself has the same "Keyhole" proof mark that my AR556 has, but the barrel is a mystery. I did some searching and couldn't find anything on the maker; so my question is, does anyone know who makes the barrels for Brownells? The upper received good reviews and I know about Brownells' return policy so I'm not concerned about quality, just curious on the maker. Thanks in advance!

Easy. Just call them up and ask em. They are always very helpful with anything and everything. They are a wealth of information.

As recommended, I spoke to someone at Brownells and they said the upper is manufactured for them by American Tactical. Other than the Omni-Hybrid lowers, I haven't any experience with their stuff. Seems well put together, anyone ever used anything from them?

Aqualung will become famous soon enough
Glad to see you got your upper and it fits well.

The keyhole logo is the outfit that provided the unfinished forging to whoever manufactured the upper receiver. That logo is for Cerro Forge.

My Anderson (unmarked) upper for my Blackout is similarly marked.

I wouldn't worry about who made the barrel unless you have issues. Mine's an AR Stoner that Midway had on sale for less than $90 and it suits me fine.

I don't think I did much, but you're welcome.

Now, go shoot the heck out of it and let us know how it shoots.

And pics, we want to see pics...
