I owned a psa ar and it was okay. It went bang every time and was 5 inch at 50 yards iron sight accurate which with my 60 plus year old eyes is not bad.

My 60 year old wife with Vortex Sparc II kept a 1.5" 5 shot at 50 the first time she ever fired a AR with our PSA M4

Yeah if you brought up anything other than armalite, or colt over their you would be placed in the insignificant pile for eternity.. One of the big reasons I do not reside there.

You know if only people knew the truth about the parts, who manufacters them, and then various end companys put there own logo on them, and charge different prices sometimes drastically, for the exact same part.
So company A sells its part for $75, and company B sells it for $35, and they were manufactured possibly on the same day, on the same machine, by the original manufacturer, or forger. Company A is so much better than company B for some reason?

Knowledge is power, I say.

How the hell do YOU even know what scope, light, or whatever is on this rifle he's talking about? Kinda stupid to call someone's stuff junk without even knowing what it is.
Some of us can't afford to buy only DD or whatever snobbish brand you endorse.

I hear you. Its funny my junky PSA out shoots my buddies Colt, his Tavor and my late model Mini 14. I wanted pretty much a service rifle with no frills, I am more than satisfied. I don't cut down anyone choices. My Mini isn't a target gun but it fits my desires as a Garand action throw in the back of the car or truck and have fun. But some say they aren't worth having. I feel exactly the same way about my PSA.

May I refer to a partially modified quote of Jack Nicholson in a Few Good Men that says it best.......They can't handle the truth...! That is evident.

I am in agreement with you on several points. I have seen $500 rifles shoot with $1500 rifles apples to apples comparison. As much as it is the rifle, its also the shooter, technique, experience, maintenance habits and ammo. Just because you spent 2k+ on a rifle does not mean you are automatically at skill level of Carlos Hathcock, or Chris Kyle. Nor does owning one of these expensive rifles make you as knowledgeable as Eugene Stoner on the AR platform.

Still have not ruled out buying it, kinda waiting on better weather so I can shoot it first. I have looked over the gun very well and even took it to my LGS and had the owner look it over. He said while it's not the bottom of the barrel junk stuff it's not too bad for what it is, the optic sight is decent but not great, the laser and tactical light are better on a home defense drawer pistol. The owner of the gun bought 500 rounds of 5.56 when he got it and still has 60 rounds of that 500 left, that's how much he shot it.

Like some people said, PSA has had some QC issues, but it seems to have been sorted out. I have had Customer Service issues with them not returning emails or MAJOR delays in shipping. Last thing I ordered from them (ammo), I got the package before they even sent out the email telling my it had been shipped. I thought maybe it was a hiccup but when I looked at the BBB, a lot of other people have had the same issues.

With that being said, if you can get the parts you want/need for a good price and don't need them immediately/isn't a big deal if they are delayed, they are a good company to order from.
