Henry just re-did the H&R single shot, but made it better

So I decided to go shopping for a big-bore... I ended up looking to no satisfaction for .444 Marlins and .45-70's.... None for the price I wanted to pay in a lever. I ha decided if I found nothing else I would buy a Marlin .45-70 for somewhere in the $500 range when I decided to check Henry... Turns out they got a lot of requests for a single shot rifle that wasn't made cheaply but was still reasonably affordable. And with that out comes the H015 model in the new year, in a brass model and blued model. I plan on getting the .45-70 model myself and have already contacted my LGS. Seems lie it will cost $350 for the blued variety, which isn't bad. I plan on hunting Bear in Maine so his will make a nice rifle for that trip..

They look pretty sharp. I am eager to see what they do with the line. Barrel swapping would be great as well as some revolver cartridge options.

I could easily see wanting a few of them, or some extra barrels. Ideally I would like a .35 Remington or something along those lines. A mid level cartridge of similar power.

No .357?

Seems like they left a void. And not sure about a .45-70 with brass receiver, hardened or not. I know there have been cases of receivers stretching with Uberti falling block replicas and those are steel. Still, nice to see these are still being cranked out. Now how about a Hornet?

I wrote Anthony Imperato when I first heard about these a month ago and suggested that they should chamber more traditional rimmed cartridges like .22 Hornet, .30-30, .38-55 and .45-70 which is a current chambering. I also suggested installing ladder sights like those on the Original Henry model. We already have other manufacturers producing modern rimless singleshots. I also suggested that maybe they can do a limited run in a different caliber each year to appease any possible collectors or people like myself that want one in .22 Hornet and .38-55 . His reply was stay tuned, they are going to add additional calibers in the future.

I had totally missed these. Now I feel the need for both a blued .45-70 and a brass .44 magnum. I don't know when I would get to Canada for the black bear hunt the .45-70 is for, but the brass framed .44 would sure look good standing beside my camp's front door.
