Thanks! I kind of went through phases with how I wanted it but that's how it goes. I think now I've reached the point where all I have left to do is work on the trigger. For that I have a JP spring kit I plan to instal, along with a good polishing job. To me the Nordic components free float tube really finished it off.

Are there any good AR triggers that come smooth & light, right outta the box?

Or at least crisp with no creep?

There are a bunch of drop in triggers out there for ar15, they will work on the jr carbine-it's all in how much you want to pay. Most are $150 and up. I did a $10 spring swap and polish on my mil spec ar15 trigger and I was happy with the results. I will be doing the same on my jr

Thats one of the things that really makes me like the JR is the AR compatible parts.
I like CZ products, and would probably take a EVO carbine if the LGS comes up with one, but it pisses me off that they didnt use 75 series mags in it. That was just ignorant I think. And in the long run, i believe they only hurt themselves.
That is my one complaint with CZ. They are pretty greedy on their mags.
Thank God MecGar builds em for the pistols..

I thought of a beretta carbine, since I have 92's and alot of mags. but I hear the trigger sucks, I dont really like the looks of it at all, and my son just bought one. So I figured to let him run it through its paces first.

I think maybe next time Buds gets in a JR shipment, if my LGS aint got me one by then, I'll probably pull the trigger on one. They have a couple PINK ones left, and if I knew how to get that crap off, I might bite. I even thought of just painting it.

ATI is about to release an affordable 9mm AR that takes Glock mags... May be worth the wait.

JR carbine-ar compatible parts, triggers, grips, stocks, hand guards.

They are ambidextrous, charging handle and ejection port.

Take glock mags

Accurate, reliable

Get the pink one and have it cerekoted or hydro dipped

I actually just looked. It gone. LOL

They will get more. Seems like every couple weeks they get a large shipment in.

Well, I found a shop who says they can have me a JR carbine Monday. The only take down models available were the all Black , which was fine. I kinda wanted a desert cammo for all year around varmint hunting. Black is better than pink. LOL.
But Everyone is price goughing since they are so hard to find. I paid $820. Once I bought online & payed the transfer, etc, it would have been close to that price anyway. And I got tired of waiting.

Wanna play, gotta pay I guess.

Probably going to set a centerpoint 4 x 12 w/ lighted reticle on it. I already have a couple of those scopes on varmint rifles, and have an extra already on hand. They work great for what I want which is good for both daylight range or low light conditions hunting coyotes. And they seem to be clear and hold their zero.

About all I need to do is pick up a couple spare Glock mags for it & should be all set to go burn some powder.

Congrats on finally getting one. Now you will have to post pictures and then a range report.

Looking forward to hearing how you like it.

YUP. Will do.

From the few video reviews I could find. A 3 or 4 inch group @ 100 shouldnt be a problem, and those reviews were with a red dot. Thats pretty good for my purposes coyote hunting. So I will put a decent scope on, and knowing me, Will see just how far I can accurately push it. We have a 250 yard range @ my brothers. It will be fun finding out. I love playing with firearms and seeing how far out they can be pushed.

I've seen guys hit steel at 250 with a red dot, just have to find the right hold over. As for grouping at 100 I have not tried that yet, but at 50 yards I was within 3" with a red dot, with cheap ammo... But as far as carbines go it's accurate.

I'm sighted in at 50 yards and I can hit 8 inch steel at 100 yards with no hold over.

Any information I have read on the JR by folks like you, I will be VERY surprised if it does not perform really well on all counts..
