The AK platform picture thread.

I see all the AR-15 love, but what about the AK?

AK-M 7.62x39 Underfolder assembled by Blackheart International using a Hungarian parts kit.

RWC imported Saiga 7.62x39 conversion. Supposedly the last of the Russian AK's made at the IZHMASH mothership to be imported (until the trade sanctions against Russia are lifted).

Started out as this ugly thing with horrible furniture.

Today:

If Ruger ever makes an AK, I'll be at my LGS to order one.

I don't "get" the looks but I admire its simplicity, a 10-year old terrorist can operate it.

Guess I need to take some pics of mine!

I have an Arsenal SAM7UF. Very nice with a milled receiver.

For now, this Sig 556xi 7.62x39 will have to suffice.

Here's a pair that I no longer own. The top is a Romanian build I did. I can't remember what the manufacture of the lower is but I got it in part of the sale of my motorcycle. Shot it once. Promptly sold it.

Here's the same Romanian worked into another receiver with different furniture. Sold it to a buddy of mine as a parts kit and I foolishly agreed to help him build it. Guess who did most (all) the building!? It's the last AK I'll build!

Would love to have an SGL-21, 5.4539? Always wanted a 74, just never acquired one.

Mine is 7.62x39
There was recently an arsenal 5.45x45 for sale locally, price wasn't too bad, but I'm saving for a different rifle right now.
