...And, my Saiga 5.45 conversion. This is my favorite rifle, and my favorite AK of the several I have owned over the years. I have replaced the grip with a magpul, which I find feels and looks better than the saw grip I used for 922r purposes originally. I probably will pick up a magpul forend soon.

Yeah, if you really like the Kalashnikov platform, it makes sense to go Russian...either Saiga or Vepr.
I got my Saiga back when they were $239. Shot for a good year before I started converting it, which was easy.
