I really don't know how Hi Point would know what magazine you were using. They do not have to worry about me buying a ProMag. I have bought 3 ProMags and none of them worked. I am done with promag

Someone I know would have to buy the first RedBall magazine. It looks like 2 magazines joined together - concerned about durability.

I have had a Hi Point 995 for about ten years. I bought it used and it has never faltered. I called HP about buying a scope rail, they sent it quickly at no charge. I had a Kel Tec sub 2000 that would stovepipe a round once in a while, it lives elsewhere now. For the money, the Hi Point is a good buy and the fun factor is high!

I am planning to get the 9mm carbine too. I have the C9 HiPoint pistol. It is very reliable and very accurate at 25 yards. Sure can't beat the price and comes with a lifetime warranty.

Yes, somewhat ugly...but my Glock 19 and 34 aren't actually considered real beauties either.

My Ruger 1911...that's a good lookin' gun!

Don't be too embarassed...my very first car was given to my by my Mom when I turned 16..it was a '50 Nash Statesman supreme...pea soup green...it lasted about 6 months and got sold...she never forgave me but you can't put a 16 year old boy in a Nash (even if it did make into a bed when you laid the front seat back down....)the picture is not mine but it gives the idea of how embarrassing the whole thing was for a "cool" teen in the 50's...talk about "Richie Cunningham" driving his folks Desoto....

I've got the old ugly one in 9mm & love shooting it. Very simple w/ iron sights.
Eats everything you feed it.

Anyone ever get any trigger slap with these things? I had one and it felt like it was pinching/slapping my trigger finger a lot when I shot it. Otherwise a good gun fun to shoot accurate and reliable, I kinda regret selling it. I had the newer version in 9mm btw.

My experience with the .45 ACP version echoes the other member's, zero fail-to-fires. They do like the heavier loads, as does the pistol, and they are factory rated +P.

As a tool it fits my personal philosophy of stockpiling only a few cartridge types, in my case I chose the .45's (Colt/ACP/.454/.45-70) and have different types of "tools" to fire them in.

Same concept would work for any other caliber that has multiple uses.

Glad to hear you like it. A dealer quoted me a $300 price on a new 4595 last week...and I think I'll take him up on it!

I to am going to get a Hi Point 9mm.. The reviews on the rifle have been great! Field stripping takes a little work . Per manufacture spec they say do not clean it till you hit 1000 rounds if memory serves me right.
Tons of great info and great gals and guys on the Hi point forum.
