Very good practice to follow, I have been loading for some time, and anytime i start a new experimental round, I still do the same, alot less headaches that way.

150 rounds of 44 mag today
norma cases
rem 2 1/2 primers( the last of em)
lyman 429244 w/gas check(250 grs)
9.3 grs unique
Certainly not a magnum load at 980 fps, but effective and very pleasant to shoot in either the Super blackhawk or the 29.

We went to the range Friday(6/28/13), so I deprimed the 9mm(200) & the .380(130) & just cleaned all the cases & put them out to dry for 24-36 hours.
I truly like the Lee Universal Deprimer. That was $12 well spent!

I just finished 50- .40s with 4.6 grns. of titegroup behind 165 gr Sierra JHPs. Now I'm pushing 300- nickel plated and 300 brass .40 cases through my bulge buster. I'm having fun here.

Finished up 100 rounds of 38 Special with Remington SJHP 125 grain over W231..(I don't post recipes). Found something odd this time...these were once fired mixed cases...same Lee dies I've used all along....had some R/P cases mixed in (I don't buy R/P cases because of some prior problems)...all the R/P cases did not size properly while everything else did...measured the wall thickness on the R/P's and found them to be about .008-.009 and the other mixed cases ran .011-.013 thickness..may be my dies are just a bit on the "fat side" and the R/P cases thin and would not spring back on resizing...at any rate after resizing and even before expanding...the bullet would simply slide in with hardly any pressure....bullets mic'd dead on...so tossed the R/P cases and won't mess with them again...may have just been one batch but they sucked.

Getting out the stuff for the 45 Colt loading today...Cowboy #4 Missouri 200 grain RNFP lead over some Trail Boss....love that load...gentle, accurate and does not lead anythhing I've shot it in....waddles along at about 700 fps. Hope no "4th Fireworks" here today...I load in "stages"...got about 200 cases that are cleaned, sized, primed and been sitting for a month or so..now just expand, charge and seat the boolits and done..I like to load in stages.
Happy 4th!

I just finished re-sizing 200 9mm cases.
I load in stages also, but I am kinda strange.
I will 1st decap with a Lee Universal decapper, then clean all cases.
I then re-size them & then flare & prime in 1 step, flaring on the upstroke & priming on the way down with the Lee safety primer feed system. I have to be honest, when I 1st pulled it out of the box, I thought what a plastic P.O.S!
But it truly works great & I have not had 1 problem with it. You just need to keep it full of primers or the last few will not feed well.

Just loaded 20 round's of 458 Winchester magnum. 300 gr Hornady HP with 64.2 gr's of IMR 4198. Have to load them a little lighter than used too, cause it's finally starting to reak havic on my Bercitis in my shoulder. May be getting rid of this one shortly. Just shoot it evry once in a while so as to remember the kick. It's fun though.

Twenty-five .223: 22.5 gr Viht N140, CCI 400 primer, Nosler 77 gr HPBT.
Five different OAL's: 2.260, 2.269, 2.271, 2.280, 2.290. Shot them and found my rifle likes the 2.269 and 2.271 the best.
