N110, w296, d037.2 or hodgdon h110?

Hi,

I reload my cartridge 44 mag , the gun is a SRH 9,5".

what's your opinion about the following powder for full power load?

I already used the N110 and lovex D037.2 with a good result, but i never used the hodgdon H110. Unfortunately the W296 from few years is not longer available in italy.
What do you think about Hodgdon H110 compare with the others powder?
Thanks to all.

Hello and welcome to the forum from Texas! N110 is an excellent powder. We don't have DO37.2 available to us though. H110 is a good powder also but I'm not sure it will do anything that N110 won't. H110 and W296 are the same exact powder just sold under two different brand names. A powder that I like is Ramshot Enforcer that actually comes from Belgium but I don't know what it's called in Europe.

first of all thank you for the answer, this forum is real good for me because i can share opinions and experience with other Ruger owner! in my area are spread many semi auto guns but not so many revolvers so for me it is not so easy to share the shooting and reloading experience regarding 44 mag.

..if the hodgdon H110 is the same of W296 i will buy it , I am curious to shot it due to the fact that many people say that the W296 is the best powder for the reloading of 44 mag.
What do you think about this?
regards

Giovanni, you're very welcome. It's great to see someone from Italy on the forum. H110 and W296 are probably the most popular powders used for loading the .44 Magnum in the U.S. Alliant 2400 is also very popular here. You should get very good results with H110, but I'm not sure it will be any better than what you are getting with N110.

I have excellent results using H110. Just following reloading instruction manual. Good luck.

My most accurate loads for .44 Magnum were always with W-296 or H-110, but they can never be reduced below published minimums, and they need magnum primers or they won't ignite.

Welcome, from New Hampshire, USA, Giovanni!
