RCBS lube crap that you'd goop on a pad and roll the cases across was the pits-I got my cheap butt out and bought a carbide sizing die and never looked back--glad to hear some improvement-that stuff was a mess. I can see the wisdom in lubing, anyways...carbide or not.

2400, its called unique case lube, Hornady brand. I just use it for .444 and 45-70 as my others are carbide. I use a 2" patch to put it on. A little goes a long way.

Looks like a great set up to me. I sure would like just one more press. With your 4 Bill you got all the bases covered. Looks real good.

nice setup, my area is a mess but here it is lol. im limited to a tiny corner of the basement im still moving other ppl stuff out of the area.
i have a lee load all in a box that i can bolt onto the midget table in a few minutes if i realy need it, but it only ever used for exotic loads.
this big ol workbench is nice but i realy need to build one the proper height move all my presses over to it, setup my other squirrel hole shelf put them both on the new bench and line up my dies and cast bullets, molds ect. ect. ect.
for now everything is aranged around my stool, i just pivot and grab, anyone else is banned from that corner of the basement lol. |

I started with a Tru-Line Jr. when I was 12 then moved up to a Lyman All American that I still use. I upgraded to a Forster Co-ax a few years ago. Also use a Lee hand held and a Lee cheapo single stage. 3 Lyman 55 powder measures, 2 RCBS Uniflows and last but not least an Ohaus Duo-Measure.

I have a old Texan single stage press I got used when I was 15 years old (mid 70's). I have loaded thousands of rounds with. I think I will stay with it, I like handling each stage . I use a Lee perfect powder throw works well with all powders I use.

I own a RCBS Rock Chucker. I purchased it as part of the RCBS Rock Chucker Supreme kit. I have been reloading for about 2 years now. The Rock Chucker is a very good press.
My bench can also double as a firearms maintenance work station. Of course, I put the powder throw and the brass away when I am working on my firearms.

I recently sold all of my Lee equipment and purchased another RCBS turret and another Dillon 550 so I have to say those 2 are my favorite presses. If I had to choose 1 I'd take the RCBS but only because of simplicity.
