I bought about 400 of Berry's 9mm 115 grain bullets. These are a cooper plated lead bullet. On their web site they say not to exceed 1200 fps. Does any body have any load data for this bullet? And the col to. It will be shot out of a Ruger P89. The only powder that I have for pistol is Power Pistol, Tite Group, and Unique. I have bought Rainer bullets before for my Ruger P90 in .45 ACP. I used the lead load data in the Hornady 6th Edition. Using both Unique (6.0 grains) and Tite Group(5.0 grains). Also, there is no lead bullet, load data for the 9mm in the Hornady 6th Edition manual. Thanks, gearyr.
I would pick a copper jacketed bullet of equivalent weight and start with the minimun load. If you have a chrony then you should be all set and watch for pressure. If not I would use the jacketed data and keep the load at or under the published 1100 fps and watch for excess pressure indications at each level.
I have shot a lot of Berry's plated bullets and they do have some general information on their web site, but for the must part, you should consider them the same as soft or nearly soft swaged lead bullets in terms of good operating velocities. Some shooters I know drive them pretty hard and have no problem while others do have some trouble with plating seperating as the velocites go up.
Generally speaking, you shouldn't have a problem driving them at standard cast bullet lead bullet velocities so refer to the bullet and powder manufacturers web sites and sites that list good moderate load velocities for cast bullets and you should be ok.
They have performed well for me, but I am not driving them in any of the calibers I use them, over 1200 fps and usually more around 1100 or 1150 fps or so.

Paul
