I've been using Mastercast for quite a few years now. I live fairly close so I buy them on site. They are great to deal with and I've had no problems with them thus far. I load .45ACP, 44 mag, 40 S&W, 9mm, .380ACP.

Before I started reloading, and then casting, I used to buy Mastercast complete cartridges. Their service was good, their pricing fair, and I never had problems with their ammo.

One thing that did irk me, tho, was headstamps. I ordered .38+p ammo, and it was loaded in both .38 spl and .38 +p cases. I told them about it, and they seemed not concerned. So, you'd get a box of 50 rounds and if they were not in the original, marked, Mastercast box, you'd have no idea if they were .38s or +p's.

If, like me, you have older .38s in which you don't shoot +p ammo, having loads with incorrect headstamps can be a dangerous situation.

I don't use bevel based bullets. Those bullets that I buy are flat based. I have had leading with bevel based bullets that I did not have with a compariable bullet w/flat base...

Mastercastbullets.com is my choice for cast lead.
Their "soft" .45 200gn L-SWCs are more than hard enough and my guns really like them. They shoot 1.5" or smaller groups at 25 yds with "boring" regularity.
The .40 155gn L-SWC and 180gn L-TC are excellent in my .40s and also group well under 2" with most any powder or charge. I would like to try a "softer" bullet, but I can't complain about either the cost or performance.
I haven't tried the 9mm or .38s and I find the cost of jacketed from Montana Gold is close enough.
