| Looking for 357 158g FMJ Bullets
I have been looking for some 357 158g FMJ bullets but have only found a few, and they cost as much as SJHP. Anyone know of a good source at a fair price? These are for target shooting with a mild to hot load. I can buy loaded ammo but don't find many sources for just bullets.

I've been using berrys 158 plated for my 2.25in sp101 for the past few thousand rounds. They are plated so you use a 9mm taper die and just give them a light crimp. About 106 per 1000 shipped. Good quality too, have beem loadimg all berrys for the past 5000 rounds in 9mm and .38/.357. I sugest getting the flat point in case you want to use them for anything else last minute, there are a few bullet styles.
Just google berrys bullets

These are not FMJ but are plated - I would also recommend the use of Berry's plated bullets.
I use the flat point 158 grain 357. They also have them as round nose 158 grainers.
They run about $0.10 a piece.

Looking at the suggestions so far I still don't see anything that will hold up to 357 velocity. The Berrys are great for slower stuff. Am I missing something?

Xtreme bullets rates thier plated to 1400 fps. I believe Berrys recommends 1200 fps tops. I don't know how fast you want them to go. Hornady nor Speer loads are pushing past 1265 fps for 158gr.. I've pushed Xteme and Powerbond fairly well with no issues with either.
But I do believe Xtreme plating is thicker than say Berrys.
But to be safe if you're gonna approach max with plated you might think about getting a chrono to watch your speed.

Nick0410 has it right except they are a plated bullet, which you have to load as if it were LEAD..Make sure of your powder weights.. You can call Berry's and get info from them (or e-mail) They do not have a data list online..

I guess I am confused...
What exactly are you looking for?
Why do they have to be FMJ?
According to your posts you are looking for: "Just looking for some good target bullets that can be loaded to full 357 velocity."
Then any hard cast over medium/hot loads will do fine in a handgun...
The Penns I linked to earlier work well in their 'premium' grade alloy sized .358"...

Get some hard cast SWCs. They will perform well for target and hard enough for magnum velocity. I use the Missouri bullets ( I think they are Brinell 18) designed for magnum velocity for target. Also, a SWC is a good defensive bullet for 357

wPm | I've actually always loaded mine as fmjs. My understanding after a few emails back and forth is that as long as you load them under 1200fps, you can pretty much do what you want. I load for the 2in sp so ill never reach that velocity and I load as hot as possible. Been using the recipe on aliants website of 7.7gr unique and their seating depth, its been a great target load, use less powder if you're over 1200fps but its been fine in the snub for atleast 2000 rounds
Sr40ken, as I said I was paying 106 for 1k so 152 is no where near slightly more than plated, besides that, you're right that its going to be pretty hot to get past 1200fps for 158s (sounds right, not near my books). Loaded 5000 as fmj recipes besides crimp and never had a problem between .38/.357 and 9mm
