300 whisper/300 aac blackout

I have the Lee 300 aac blackout dies and a couple of M&P 15 300whisper chambered rifles.

I've read all about both ammos, and how you can cut down 223 brass to make 300 aac blackout brass. Also read the the whisper was originally based on the 221, or there abouts.

My question is, how will the Lee dies work on the Hornady brass from the 300 whisper ammo? I bought 400 roundes of this stuff, half in the 208 amx and half in the 110 vmax. I'd previously purchased some 208 amax bullets for use as reloads.

Haven't done any reloading for this yet, not acquired much brass and haven't really shot them much to date. But I'm gearing up to scope one of them and start seeing what they'll do.

I haven't had any problems reloading Whisper brass. I fire Whisper and Black Out in a .300/.221 chamber and then reload with the Lee Dies. I've even been loading cast with few problems. I think the only problem you may have is if you have a tight chamber.
I made cases from .222 cases when I found that .223 cases had to be reamed. For me the .222 cases were just enough thinner in the neck of the reformed case that it eliminated this step.
I only used a few .221 FB cases because I needed them for use in my .221 and I had so many neck splits and collapses trying to neck them up. Hope this helps.

OK, thanks for the info. The M&P says it is chambered in 300 whisper but also boasts ability to safely fire 300 AAC blackout. Barrels on the complete rifle, and the seperate upper are stamped with both.

I've got some 300 AAC cases, but found a decent deal on this Hornady ammo at a gun show, so I bought it mainly to have the brass for reloading with the added bonus of getting to shoot it first.

While I'm at it. Do you have much experience with setting up a scope when shooting SuperSonic vs Sub Sonic?

I'm looking at scopes with Target Turrets that also include the hunting turrets, trying to learn about those. I'm assuming zeroing for subsonic at a hundred yards would give me a different impact point when I shoot SuperSonic ammo. Any adivce you can give me here?
