Question nosler .224 55gr spitzer reload for sr 556??

ok i have been reloading for a little over a year now. I have found little data on the nosler .224 55gr spitzer with IMR 8208 XBR. i have reloaded with the IMR 8208 with Hornady V-MAX 55gr with great reward. So far i loaded the nosler with once fired rem 223 brass that has been cleaned and sized with a full lingth sizeing die and checked case lingth to make sure it did not need trimming. i ran CCI 450 primer with 25gr IMR 8208 XBR. I used the Hornady reloading data for there 55gr V-MAX reloading data for the grain amount (reloading the nosler 55gr spitzer) with 25.8 being the max I also checked the IMR reload data and they were the same on the data and set C.O.A.L to 2.245. Ok my ? is would this be a good mix???? Has any one reloaded this type of bullet?///

With that bullet I use 25.0/Varget or 26.5/W748. Varget is not temp.

As far as using info for one brand of bullet, but actually using another brand bullet; it might be ok.
Here is the rub. NO 2 bullets are the same across brands. They can have different bearing surface areas, and have different jacket material mixes.
Sierra bullets TEND to be "slicker" than Hornadys. So what is a MAX load with a hornady bullet, won't be with a Sierra, IME.

Not familiar with that powder you listed, so I can't say. I know that Win 748 was THE powder for the 5.56. 26.6gr of it is the long-time accuracy standard for that cartridge. It is also NOT anywhere near max pressure, you may have to turn up your gas block in order to get it to cycle properly.

Even though Hodgdon has the rights to sell Winchester powder, Winchester is supposed to be the one that is doing the testing. They haven't been, and honest loading info for Win 748/760 is rapidly dissapearing. If you look at Hodgy's site, MOST of the loads that are listed at MAX are horribly low pressure.

There is some reloading data on Noslers site, not much and none for the powder you are using.
Have you gone to IMR powder's web site? they have a long list of load data might help you with your IMR 8202 powder.
Regardless of bullet brand any data for same weight and type has always worked fine for me.
I would try a different powder.
Winchester 748 is my choice of powder for 55gr. bullet with 26.2 grains of powder, got this load info. from Winchester this is what they load factory rounds.

Think it was $22.95 last time I bought it, prices vary a lot from shop to shop.
