For my Mauser I'm loading 52gr A-Max with 39grs of H380 set .130 past standered OAL for my rifle with a 1-14 twist. At 100yrds it puts 5rds in a single ragged hole. Little under .375 group. A 60grn Vmax might be just a little on the heavy side for a 1-14twist to spin from what I'm told. I'm pretty new to reloading also but I'm sure someone with more knowledge will speakup.

With a heavier bullet, I would start with the slower powders.
There is no easy quick answer. Only lots of variations, groups, work up your loads. Most accurate loads come at the expense of pounds of powder and lots of bench time.
It's all fun.
Good luck,
Bob

Thanks for the response guys. Advice well taken. Hornady shows 60gr. with 1-14 in their loading data, but the proof will be in the shooting. I've read that 55gr. does well, but I wanted to try a few light loads with the new superformance powder and the lightest bullet they recommend is 60gr. Tnx agn.
