Hi drtlife I am waiting for a scout rifle in 450Bm to arrive here.
I have collected brass and dies etc 300gr Hornady xtp..So am in the same boat as you more or less..
I found an article on 450 bushmaster done by Chuck Hawks in my search for load data not sure if we can paste links here but Google will sort that out in a search. He wrote.....

"The technicians at Hornady reported that excellent results were obtained with Hodgdon Lil' Gun powder. Hornady reloading data shows that, using Hornady cases, Winchester WSR small rifle primers and the 250 grain FTX bullet, a minimum charge of 25.2 grains of Lil' Gun powder gives a MV of 1700 fps. The maximum charge of 37.9 grains gives a MV of 2200 fps, equal to the factory load velocity. A reasonable compromise for most woods hunting would seem to be 32.8 grains of Lil' Gun for a MV of 2000 fps."

Please double check it before using it most of the data available is for ar15 platforms not bolt action I know from building a scout in 458 socom some of the bolt action loads will be dangerous/over pressure in an ar15 platform. See how you go I haven't starting loading yet as the rifle hasn't arrived down here. Will be interested to see what you come up with.

I found a 450 Bushmaster Forum with a lot of load info and several people are at 40 grains and above with Lil'Gun with good results....42 grain area seems to be when pressure signs start showing....Quick load shows 42 at max. and that is probably with a slight err to the cautious side....40 grains is right at 2300 fps out of Ruger Ranch rifle...

Ok I finally got ten spare minutes between work and hunting.. The Lyman 50th edition book . 450 Bushmaster.
Has 6 loads but nothing with 250 XTP projectiles.. They cover 200gr Barnes XPB..225gr Hornady FTX..250 gr Hornady FTX...300 gr Speer Sp and two loads for #452651 and #45274 which I assume are Lyman bullet mould numbers.
Let me know if any of them float your boat and I will copy the data..

Got to the range and the best load was with 40 grains of Lil'Gun with the 250 XTP with no pressure signs....for me 40 grains will be a max load....tried some 185's and as expected the lighter bullets shot about 3 MOA at 50 yards....the 250's with just a red dot held about 2 MOA at 100....I am going to put a proper scope on it and see just how accurate it may be...even with the muzzle break after 25 rounds the shoulder had enough. I am gonna to get a larger 3 port muzzle break, the factory break imo is not the best choice for this rifle...

Good report back even at 2 moa with a red dot at 100 yards you would have to happy with that as your first start using it and working up a load and sorting out sights etc. The muzzle brake on them looks a little odd like there was a huge supply/mistake order of them that just needed to be moved on somehow. I did wonder how well it would actually work. You will have no trouble finding one that works for you.

it's the same style break they put on the RPR.....not quite what a 450 needs.

I ordered a new muzzle break from Tromix.com and it will do a better job than the factory break....

That will sort it out Tromix make some good gear.. They feature heavily in the 458 Socom ar15 conversion world.

Tjw96 is on a distinguished road
I heard Ruger's hybrid muzzle brake was pretty decent. What does a bolt action .450 BM compare to recoil wise?
