I drank the Koolaid again

I dropped by the Dillon Store today, and they had the blue Koolaid waiting for me. I took a big drink, and ended up buying a Dillon 550C. I put my Dillon Square Deal B and all the dies etc. up for sale on eBay.

Gotta be careful about that.

I went to the LGS Monday. Its a 20 mile drive from home.

Aint been there in about 3 weeks.

I purposely left most of my cash and checkbook at home.

I "THINK" I want a DPMS panther A3 classic,,, and they have them in stock.

But its a good excuse to research more, and do more thinking before plopping down the cash. I DONT like my M4, and miss my good old fashioned M16.

So umm, YUP. Gotta watch when ya git around the koolaid.

Pampurrs, Wow .... you are getting serious about this reloading stuff!!!! The "C" in the RL550C threw me for a loop so I had to look it up. Turns out it is basically identical to a RL 550B except it has grease zerts in the carrier arms. I think you will really like the 550 .... it's a great press and works like a dream. I bought my first 550 before the "B" models came out. Later I bought another new 550B for my gunsmith shop. I sold the "B" with my shop but I still have the old 550 .... almost a quarter century old and it still works perfect!

Good luck selling your SDB .... hope you can recover most of your investment.

My wife gave a 550B fours years ago for Christmas. I just ordered another tool head, powder die and .223 conversion kit today. I plan on sizing for the .223 on my Lee 3 hole turret (had that since sometime in the eighties). Yes, I am sipping the Blue Kool Aid too. I am converting one of my Dillon powder measures from the small powder bar to the large for the .223. I am very pleased with the Dillon. How cool to be so close to that candy store. I saved some money by not getting the quick change kit, so I bought bullets to reload. Got to feed my Mini-14. Have fun with your new toy.
