We have had excellent results with 70 gr bullets in our Stevens 200 with a 1 in 9.25" twist, it seems to prefer flat based Speer TNT's or Nosler Varmageddons. Heavy charges of Ramshot Big Game powder have produced outstanding accuracy and surprisingly high velocity from the 22 inch barrel. Not sure how they might run in your rifle, but it has become the "go to" load for ours.

Tacky : you said 107 grain nosler with w780 ( grouped like buckshot) believe the twist was too slow for this bullet.
95 grain sst with w780, and superformance( fair results)
75 grain hollow point american eagle factory ammo ( fair results)

Not all 1-9 twist barrels are the same, one will shoot the 105,107, and 115 into a tight group and others will key hold. In your case you said (Grouped like buckshot)

I know you don't like pointed,(lead tip), bullets, but my best load, in my Remington 700 BDL, is 100 grain Nosler Partitions over 37 grains of H1000. That load has harvested 36 white tail deer and 3 hogs, one over 300lbs.........robin

Your correct, its strange that way, different barrels like different things. I have learned that over the years with my diverse collection, and many calibers I load for. My load development is fixing to be restarted for the 243 win. Let me explain, the barrel had issues, and went back to the manufacturer once, and still had a feed issue. I sent them a detailed email with pictures and results , and they evaluated it. So they are now refunding me the original price and I am sending back the barrel. They are also making me another barrel for my trouble in a different caliber. Now thats customer service, I didn't expect.
So to outfit that rifle, I am gonna buy a shilen match 243win barrel, 18" 1n8 twist. So I expect it will do better with the heavier bullets such as the 105, and 107. So keep the recipes coming, and I am going back to square one and starting over.

Just an update.

Installed the shilen match 243 win 18" barrel 1n8 twist. I have about 100 rounds through the rifle. So here is where I found interesting results. The 95 grain sierra tipped match king still produces the best groups at 1 moa so far with imr 4831. I loaded 100 of the 107 nosler competiton bthp rounds with 40.5 grains of imr 4831. The coal was 2.700". This was the same length of my 95 grain tmk's. Well the 107 still only produced 2moa, no holes touching. So I think I am giving up on the heavys. Whats you guys thoughts?
